Hip Replacement

The painful or damaged hip joint is removed and replaced with an artificial joint (prosthesis).
  • Eligibility:
    • Adults of any age are eligible. If you feel severe pain, swelling, and stiffness in your hip joint, limited mobility, or suffer from conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid, arthritis, and osteonecrosis, you might be a candidate. You’ll need to be able to cope with both a significant operation and rehabilitation.

    • You may be a candidate for this procedure if you’re less than 60 years old, and your hip joint is significantly damaged.
