General Surgery, Cardiovascular Surgery, Vascular Surgery and Angiology
Dr. Camacho is a cardiovascular surgeon graduated from Universidad del Rosario and a peripheral vascular surgeon from Universidad Militar Nueva Granada in Bogota. He is currently the leader of the Department of Surgical Clinics and Head of Adult Cardiovascular Surgery at Fundación Cardioinfantil, and previously he was the vice-president of the Colombian Society of Vascular Surgery.
Given his training in both vascular and cardiovascular surgery, Dr. Camacho has a special interest in approaches to aortic pathologies, aortic arch surgery, endovascular aneurysm repair, and thoracoabdominal and abdominal interventions. In addition, he is an active participant in the Heart Team for the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implant Program, valve-in-valve procedures, and MitraClip.
He is an associate professor at Universidad del Rosario for the Cardiovascular Medicine and Surgery Programs.
